About

Engineering

This was a hobby, besides engineering challenges on my day job. From 2002 to 2005, I designed and produced state-of-the-art gym & fitness equipment under my MSC trademark. Unlike usual commercial stuff on the market, these machines were designed and built for endurance, with frame lifetime warranty for professional use in gyms and fitness centers. Another interesting feature were gold and chrome plated parts. Due to career advancement, increased demand for Magma CMS and oncoming PhD studies, I had to set my priorities and sell this operation.

  • MSC HWF2603 was a top-quality spinning bike with 26kg smooth-running freewheel and brake system with infinitely variable resistance. Made of high-strength steel, it was intended for professional use in fitness centers. Applied chrome/paint scheme created effect of freewheel transparency.

  • MSC Barbells, in standard (2.5 - 25kg) and custom sizes, were produced of premium chrome-molybdenum steel. They were perfectly polished and triple chrome plated, with optional engraving of owner's logo.

  • Wheel Adaptor Plates

  • Chrome plated VW oil filler and pulley
For a while, I also experimented with chrome and gold plating, hot rodding of air cooled VW engines, as well as production of wheel spacer and adaptor plates, custom lugs and bolts, lowering adjusters and other small parts for my other hobby.
